Maxolon is contraindicated to administer in patients who are treated with MAO inhibitors: isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), tranylcypromine (Parnate), selegiline (Eldepryl), and procarbazine (Matulane). Co-administration of anticholinergic drugs can decrease the effectiveness of Maxolon.

Other medications may also interact wit Maxolon: bronchodilators, atropine, cyclosporine, digoxin, acetaminophen.
